Menicon ends Rose K manufacturing partnership with Blanchard Contact Lenses
Menicon Co., Ltd, a global contact lens manufacturer, announced that it has concluded its Rose K manufacturing partnership with Blanchard Contact Lenses, a division of CooperVision, effective December 31, 2025. Blanchard had been an important and valued Rose K partner since 2003, the company said, contributing more than two decades of expertise to the fitting, education and delivery of Rose K lenses throughout the United States. In making the announcement, Menicon said that Blanchard’s dedication to manufacturing, distributor support and practitioner training played a meaningful role in advancing care for patients with irregular corneas.
“We extend our sincere gratitude to Blanchard Contact Lenses for their long-standing collaboration and commitment,” said Jennifer Choo, OD, global director of the specialty lens division at Menicon Co., Ltd. “Their clinical engagement and support for eyecare professionals have been instrumental in the growth of the Rose K program in the U.S.”
As of January 1, 2026, Menicon said in the announcement that U.S. eyecare professionals can continue to access Rose K lenses through the company’s three remaining trusted manufacturing partners which include ABB Optical Group, Art Optical Contact Lens Inc., and X-Cel Specialty Contacts and Essilor Custom Contacts. “Each of these partners shares Menicon’s commitment to precision, consistent quality and dedicated practitioner support—ensuring uninterrupted access and success with ROSE K designs for clinicians across the country,” the company said.
