Art Optical Contact Lens, Inc., a provider of custom contact lenses, in partnership with Contamac, a manufacturer of contact and intraocular lens materials, recently named the winners of their Specialty Contact Lens Travel Grants. According to the announcement, these individuals have demonstrated the use of Art Optical lens designs to solve patient needs in unique situations and received financial assistance to attend the Global Specialty Lens Symposium in Las Vegas. Travel grants were awarded to the following recipients:

“At its core, specialty contact lens innovation is about improving patients’ lives,” said Jill Anastor, president of Art Optical. “These grant recipients exemplify how thoughtful lens design and advanced fitting strategies can translate into meaningful visual outcomes.”

As supporters of optometric education, Art Optical and Contamac have presented travel grant opportunities to students, residents and young ODs interested in specialty contact lens practice since 2022. Art Optical has now recognized and rewarded 25 individuals with travel grants to attend specialty lens meetings.

Past winners and their submissions, as well as additional qualification details and grant applications, can be reviewed here. Those with advanced interest in specialty contact lenses are encouraged to apply for a travel grant to attend one of the remaining professional contact lens meetings in 2026.
